Andrew Rannells took to Twitter on Monday to clarify the status of his relationship with fellow Broadway baby Matthew Morrison.
Rannells tweeted out a screen grab of a post from the blog Just Jared that shows the two together at Elton John’s Oscar Viewing Party. The headline reads, “Matthew Morrison Brings Wife Renee to Oscars 2016 Party.” The picture that accompanies the headline is one of Morrison and Rannells posing together in their tuxedos. The photo combined with the headline suggests that Rannells is not actually Rannells but Morrison’s wife Renee. Said Rannells in his response to the comic juxtaposition, “My name is Andrew. And Matt and I are just friends.”

The photo was not the cover photo for the blog post. That photo was in fact one of Morrison and wife Rennee. But Rannells may have wanted to have a little fun with this particular juxtaposition.
Just Jared made sure to clarify that they know who Andrew Rannells is, responding to his tweet: “LOL, that’s just the title of the overall post! We know your name!”
