GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has voiced concern that President Obama is more interested in LGBT rights than in defeating ISIS, reports NCRM.
Commenting on the Pentagon’s annual Pride celebration on Tuesday and Defense Secretary Ashton Carter’s announcement that the process for updating the military equal opportunity policy to include sexual orientation, Huckabee wrote:
“The fact that President Obama invests more in strategies to celebrate LGBT pride month for our military than military strategies to defeat radical Islam proves this Administration has a massive, mind-numbing prioritization problem.
“The United States military is not a social experiment. We should not exploit our soldiers to promote Obama’s political agenda or progressive pet projects.”
Huckabee recently refused to apologize for transphobic comments he made in a February speech and got into hot water for supporting the Duggar family following revelations of child molestation by their eldest son, Josh
