The day before a special session of the Texas legislature called by transphobic Governor Greg Abbott to pass an anti-LGBT “bathroom bill”, trans woman Ashley Smith trolled Abbott with a photo that’s going viral.
Wrote Ashley Smith on the photo which was noted in a story by the Associated Press: “How will the Potty Police know I’m transgender if the Governor doesn’t?”
Texas tried and failed to pass a North Carolina-style law requiring transgender people to use public restrooms corresponding to their birth-certificate gender during the regular session ending in May. But Abbott revived the issue for the 30-day extra session.
The photo has close to 1,200 shares on Facebook as of this posting.
