Dozens Protest ‘Divisive Anti-LGBT, Anti-Muslim’ Donald Trump Outside Deposition: VIDEO

After claiming earlier this week to be a friend to “the gays,” brazen opportunist Donald Trump on Wednesday faced a  protest made up of activists from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), United We Dream, MoveOn, and U for Change attacking his “divisive anti-LGBT, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant” policies.

Showing his utter contempt for the electorate, last Friday Trump told the evangelical Faith and Freedom Coalition that he intended to defend Christian values including “marriage and family.”

In a speech on Monday, Trump used the Orlando massacre to promote his bigoted immigration policies and attack Hillary Clinton, claiming he is a better friend to women and the LGBT community.

While talking about what life for ‘gays’ is like in Saudi Arabia, Trump said, “Ask the gays what they think and what they do, in, not only Saudi Arabia, but many of these countries, and then you tell me – who’s your friend Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?”

Shortly after uttering “ask the gays”, Twitter erupted with the #AskTheGays hashtag.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee later claimed he had received huge praise for his response to the massacre.

Yesterday, dozens of people turned up to a Human Rights Campaign protest outside Washington, D.C., law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman where Trump was giving a deposition in a case he filed against a celebrity chef who backed away from a scheduled restaurant opening at D.C.’s planned Trump International Hotel.

HRC communications director Jay Brown said the protest was spurred on by the reality TV star’s “divisive anti-LGBT, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant rhetoric.” HRC’s office, notes Politico, is right across 17th Street from the Pillsbury office.

In a memo, HRC attacked Trump for suggesting he would repeal Barack Obama’s executive orders providing protections for LGBT employees.
