In late February, Grande posted an Instagram image that suggested Egyptian feminist writer Nawal El Saadawi was the source of inspiration for the album title, including a quote from El Saadawi:
“They said, ‘You are a savage and dangerous woman.’ I am speaking the truth. And the truth is savage and dangerous.”
“Dangerous Woman” is the title cut off her forthcoming third studio album (May 20) and she’ll perform it, as well as a new track called “Be Alright” on SNL this weekend.
