Two best bros have immortalized their bromance with a photoshoot that is unquestionably one of the most bromantic things we have ever seen.

The two guys in question, John Taylor and Andy Pemberton, first met in “2003ish” and became inexorably close when they found themselves living close to each other in Northeast England. The blokes then each met their respective wives-to-be–but the women didn’t interfere with their relationship.

Taylor told BuzzFeed that the idea for a bromantic photo shoot with Pembteron, his best man, came about when he and his bride Lisa began planning their wedding in September:

“[Our photographer] said she would be coming by to take a few photos, I told her that we may want to take a couple of ‘funny’ shots. I don’t think she realized that she would be photographing two naked blokes in twin bath tubs.”

But photograph two naked blokes in twin bathtubs, she did.

The photographer, Katie Byram, recounted that the 20 minute photo shoot was led entirely by Taylor and Pemberton. “I normally take photographs of guys putting on their ties and button holes but they wanted something a lot less traditional and a lot more fun,” Byram said. “We were roaring with laughter through much of it,” she added.

According to Distractify, the shoot began with Taylor opening the door for Byram in just his bathrobe, saying, “Hello, Katie, we’ve been expecting you.”

The guys then had a spooning session.

Taylor apparently wished the spooning session had been fully nude. Commenting on Pemberton’s plaid boxers, “Not so keen on the fact [Pemberton] was using that tiny flannel to cover his modesty a few minutes before.”

And when the actual ceremony rolled around, the tomfoolery continued.

Taylor’s wife Lisa apparently knew what to expect with her husband and his best man. When being photographed by Byram, Lisa asked of the boys’ photos, “Was there nudity?”

Said Taylor,

“I didn’t want typical groom prep photos and I certainly didn’t get them. [I] couldn’t be happier. [Lisa] totally gets the bromance and loved the photos when she saw them! A few of the photos have made the wedding album, including a bed one and one of us in the baths.”

Of witnessing the threesome’s dynamic, Byram said, “I think Lisa knows that Andy comes as part of the package.
