In September, we told you about hunky gay marine Tanner White who asked Steve Grand to be his date to the 2015 Marine Corps Ball with a sweet YouTube video. To our knowledge, White was the first gay service-member to partake in the tradition of asking celebrities to attend one of the military’s annual balls via video proposal.

Grand was happy to oblige, telling White in his own YouTube video,
“I want to say that I’m honored to accept your invitation to be your date at the Marine Corps Ball this November. Thank you so much for your service to this country and I look forward to a really fun evening with you in November.”
On Tuesday night, Grand made good on his promise and attended the Marine Corps Ball with White, documenting the evening on Instagram. Wrote Grand, “What a special night. Honored to be in the company of some of our country’s finest.”
