For the Nth time, Simon Cowell is not gay:
“When he dies, he says he is going to leave his entire fortune to an animal charity, which suggests he has ruled out the possibility of ever marrying and having children. ‘Well, that might all change,’ he says, ‘but it is unlikely. I just don’t think marriage would suit me or, particularly, the person I would marry. ‘I am quite happy single. I am friends with all my exes and I enjoy their company, but I keep crazy hours. So until I sort out what I am going to do in the next couple of years, or beyond, it is very difficult to think about something like that.’ Of course, there have long been rumours, which just won’t go away, that Cowell is gay. ‘In this business, if you were gay it wouldn’t be a problem, would it? It is not exactly unusual to be gay in the music business or the TV business. It is 2009, after all. So if you are, you are; if you are not, you are not.’ And you are not? ‘I am not gay,’ he says, stubbing out his last cigarette and preparing to go back downstairs to the Britain’s Got Talent bear pit.”
